    Carl R. Boyd, M.D., is a professor of surgery at Mercer University School of Medicine and Memorial Health University Medical Center in Georgia. He was chief of trauma surgery and surgical critical care at Memorial Health’s trauma center in Savannah for twenty-five years. Dr. Boyd’s primary research is focused on injury and major trauma.
