Management
  • Validation and clinical studies used a cutoff score of ≥1 for identifying high-risk individuals.
  • Patients determined to be high risk should receive targeted prevention strategies. These may include (but are not limited to) counseling on safe sex practices and condom use, more frequent HIV and STI screening, more frequent follow-up, and consideration for PrEP therapy.
