Drug Abuse Screening Test-10 (DAST-10)
Assesses illicit drug use in the past year.
Management
- As the score increases, it may be interpreted that an individual has accrued an increasingly diverse range of drug-related consequences.
- For use as a screening tool, multiple cutoff scores have been suggested in the literature, ranging from 1–4. Please refer to recommendations from your local government health entity, medical group, or healthcare system.
- A positive screen should prompt a more comprehensive evaluation in order to solidify a formal diagnosis and initiate appropriate treatment and/or referrals.
