Reid's Colposcopic Index (RCI)
Colposcopically predicts histological grade of premalignant cervical lesions.
Management
- Cervical lesions found to have an intermediate or high Reid’s Index should be biopsied for additional histopathology evaluation.
- Lesions that have a low Reid's Index may not require further evaluation. However, the patient’s history and personal risk factors, along with your clinical judgment, should be used to determine if biopsy is necessary at the time of colposcopic examination.
