    Alex C. Spyropoulos, MD, FACP, FCCP, FRCPC, is a professor of medicine at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell in New York. He is also co-chair of the Council on Leadership of Thrombosis at Northwell Health and a fellow of the American College of Physicians. Dr. Spyropoulos' primary research is focused on the development of outpatient-based treatment of venous thromboembolic disease and other disease management protocols.
