    About the Creator

    Howard R. Champion, MD, is a practicing trauma surgeon and professor of trauma surgery at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. He was a founder of the Eastern Association of Surgery for Trauma (EAST) and the International Association Surgery Trauma and Surgical Intensive Care. Dr. Champion's research interests include trauma severity scores and models, hypovolemic shock and trauma systems.
