Advice
  • Brugada syndrome can be inherited or acquired and can produce life-threatening arrhythmias.
  • Fever is a common trigger and should always be treated in patients with possible or confirmed Brugada syndrome. 
  • Treatment can include medications, ablation, and ICD placement. Avoidance of arrhythmia triggers is also important. The clinical management team should include at least a cardiologist, electrophysiologist, and genetic counselor.
