  • Suggested SCLC screening approach by the study authors:
    • Score ≥3: After an initial negative screen, a second malignancy screen is recommended at 3 months, followed by screenings every 6 months for a minimum of 2 years.
    • Score 2: Following an initial negative screen, repeat screenings should be conducted every 6 months for at least 2 years.
    • Score 0–1: Conduct a second screening 6 months after the initial negative result. If this screening is also negative, further screening may be discontinued.
  • This tool should be used in conjunction with clinical judgment. Persistent or new symptoms should prompt re-evaluation, even beyond the standard screening period.
